As a user of the At series , Garrett has listened to the WANTS of their Customers. Some are bashing this unit
already as it was'not what they were expecting. I forsee this unit hanging with the top end machines.
Some bashing have probably never used a Garrett detector. I never used a Garrett detector until a
couple years ago. The At series is definitely a WINNER. The At Pro has found me my Oldest finds
ever in 16 years of detecting. So, I applaud Garrett for this new machine and listening to the wants
of their customers. Biggest seller for me is MADE IN AMERICA!!! Yes, I own that French machine
and it's Awesome but has its place for certain type environments. Give it time and we will see
Great finds made with the new AT MAX.... This machine has all the makings of an all around
great detector. Just check out aquachigger (Beau) Llook at the great finds he has made using
the At series.So dollar for dollar the At series are a bargain in my opinion. So, if you don't care
for the new Garrett design, quit bashing, you don't have to use it. It was DEVELOPED FROM
FEEDBACK from At users that were wanting more options from the At series. Guess what????
Garrett LISTENED and Garrett DELIVERED!!! Isn't that what we want from detector manufacturers,
People listening to their customers not like that big money Rip Off company with tons of War stories
on their highly over-priced junk components , and a half a year wait on service and then wonder if
it will come back RIGHT!!! I won't give that detector company another dime of my money. So,
I don't use their products anymore... Can't beat Garrett's customer service as they always have an
answer for me. Waaayyy to go GARRETT!!!!!

That's a real good summary! The majority of the posts are positive about this new unit. Some expected a whole now detector from the ground up, and were disappointed with what was released. A very small percentage were negative. There are some Garrett Haters out there, and will always be. There are some very loyal users to other makes and models, who sometimes feel threatened, with any new release, at a very good price, half the price of what they have invested in their equipment. And that's OK. The bottom line is, learn your machine well, then reward yourself with the great finds. Garrett Detectors are made in USA, are serviced in USA and Garrett has one of, or possibly the "BEST" warranty in the business.

Garrett is not new to producing high quality metal detectors. Garrett holds some great patents. Garrett makes great products!:thumbup:

Got one as a gift from Garrett due to my expert on the Pro I let you guys know in a few what I think in a few weeks. been working 10 to 12 hours haven't got a chance to use it much

Garrett gave you a new AT Max because you are such an expert with the AT Pro?

But you are so busy with work you won't have the time to report, but you will have time in a few weeks?

I guess Garrett should have given it to one of us other experts who have time to use it. Believe me , I would have found plenty of time
