If it is just a bad connection in the control box,I'm hoping this will feed back to the UK so I can send mine in for repair.at least you boys are able to send your machines in for mending.
 
And as you see from this post it looks like tom is wrong about it being the paint if this is what was wrong with it.

My money is on NASA Tom being right.

Just because Garrett says it's not a coil problem doesn't mean that it isn't. Remember, for some time Garrett was saying that there was no problem.

I'm not knocking Garrett. The important thing is that they are correcting the problem, whatever it is.
