AT Pro on raw gold ??

I was at a detector shop the other day to check out the AT Pro/Gold . We checked out both machines with a small amount of raw gold , the AT Gold picked it up easily , then we tried the AT Pro in the pro mode with 0 iron disc and barely got a signal and then out of curiosity I tried it in the standard mode with 0 iron disc and then I tried the gold again and it picked it up almost as well as the AT Gold did . I guess my question is why did it pick it up better in the standard mode than the pro mode ?? I'm hoping someone has had experience with this .

I would say very low 40's And into the high 30's

Did you use the true all metal mode on the AT gold?
