I made this video to demonstrate some of the different VDI numbers that the AT-Pro displays for Platinum, 10K and 14K Gold, .925 (Silver), Tungsten, and Stainless Steel Rings. I made this video for more of the AT-Pro beginner, but it does contain interesting info for all AT-Pro users.

Most interesting is the 14K small earring. 38-39, most of us automatically think Foil and keep going. The only reason I found that is in the sand I scuff my coil over the target to reveal it...when I did that I caught the glimpse of one of the edges. You take any one of those targets and change the angle of how they are sitting and once again the numbers change. A few of those rings scanned standing upright sound and VDI numbers wise look like trash...its amazing. Also the deeper they are..different sound and numbers. Best advice...if the digging is easy...anything above iron...Dig it! :thumbup: This video was under perfect conditions, just thought I would show those new to the AT-Pro how some different rings can look and sound.
 
Great job, Diggin-It - that's a nice graphic refresher on what some of us who are too lazy to dig pull tabs <cough> may be missing.

While I am not a newbie at metal detecting, I am with the AT Pro. Where I live, there is a river going throgh town. It is a heavily used recreation area in the summer not only with the beach goers, but with with canoes and kayaks. We have a kayak/canoe rental business on the river and I get first call to help people who've been careless. I missed out the last two summers searching for lost rings when people's water vessels overturned. In both cases a map was provided where rings were lost. In each case the water was less than 5 feet deep. The owner of one ring posted a $3,000 reward. I got the AT Pro as "water" detector two months ago. I greatly appreciate Diigin-it for taking the time and effort putting together this video. I am so accostomed to my land machine, I needed a "base" for the AT Pro when it comes to jewelry and the video fits the bill. I have found some rings and jewelry with the AT Pro, however, I'm still looking to recover my first gold. Again, thank you for the video. I'm sure others will learn from it and apply the information to increase their hunting success. Happy hunting to all.

Perfect timing Diggin it..Should have my AT Pro in a week or so,been lurking around on this forum gathering info on this machine.Nice vid..........hh rick in mi.
 
I am planning on making a few more videos of the AT-Pro. Some more target demonstrations in different situations..ie. good targets sitting in different ways. Also I will be demonstrating targets with the 5x8DD coil and the Super Sniper coil.

I have started resorting to digging it ALL for the first 30 minutes of any hunt, until I get a feel for the trash to treasure ratio of the area...Been finding more interesting stuff this way lately...
