At pro screen problem

My At Pro that I had for about 5 years now. I went to use it the other day and notice the screen and become a little dark. I can still can use it some but in the sun lite it is hard to see.

Should I send it back for repair, or buy a new one? Or can I fix the problem myself?

First I would peel off the decal on the front of the screen and see if that is the problem. If that is the problem you can order a new one from Garrett and they will send you one. If not, it looks like a trip back to Texas for your detector.
 
Just a thought here but were you by any chance wearing polarized sunglasses? My AT will look dark when I wear them for some reason but when I take the glasses off all is good and it very well could be glair from light scratches in the decal, so that is some good information 2wheeldevil I didn't no you could remove and replace it. Thanks.
