Not much there to set up, turn it on, ground balance and decide what mode U want to hunt in depending where U R at. Or, watch a couple videos and read the instructions.

Pro mode,disc at 40 and sensitivity one bar from Max. Done and done. At pro is one of the smoothest machines made , it's just a great machine in all the places that actually count
Same as woodbutcher, only I keep sens at 2 notches below max and full sens when in quiet clean areas. Sens down to 2 notches when searching for surface losses, like rings in grass. Always use earphones or headphones and listen for the "quiet" tone when pinpointing, very important. ground balance to 10 in salt water. DO NOT SUBMERGE YOUR AT PRO IN WATER IF YOU HAVE THE HALO/RAINBOW EFFECT ON YOUR SCREEN. Water will seep between the screen and plastic covering and enter into the box. Been there, done that...
