AT Pro Shipwreck Beach Detecting

I know, I'm an optimist (aren't all of us who do this? ha). Want to hunt Oregon & Washington coast areas with history of shipwrecks and other interesting historical events. Can anyone recommend area or areas where you have hunted for relics etc. or know of places with potential? Will appreciate any thoughts on this!
