Well I got the video up and going. Hope you guys enjoy it. I had quite a bit of footage but narrowed it down to the wheat cents and and the ones that gave good signals prior to digging...then disappeared after I dug. I don't know if this is common for all areas but certainly is for this area and its not unique to the AT Pro either. I've ran into it with every detector I've had and sad part is, before I figured out what was happening I would just refill the hole thinking it was probably junk that was on the fringe of the discrimination and once I opened the hole the detector was able to reject it. AT Pro Tn Coin Hunt video

Great video Daniel!!! Man, you could do a great start-up and tutorial videos for new AT Pro (and other detectors as well) owners and even those who have had one a while and would like to see firsthand how to use it in a bed of sqare-nails while relic hunting! Hint hint. I don't mean to sound too flattering, as I don't know you personally (though I have watched all of your u-tube videos) but you have a way of talking that's easy to understand without alot of added fluff. Just keep those camera batteries charged. It seems like EVERY civil war site in my town has square nails all around it. Running into square nails is now how I know that I might find something good. Anyway, thanks for the video.

Hi Daniel, thanks for posting your video! The little camera did a great job, nice and clear. I always enjoy seeing others hunting styles. I see a ProPointer in your future! 
I don't know about the pinpointer thing. I've owned every one currently on the market and after using them for a while I always end up selling them. In actual real time I can recover a target just as fast without one as I can with one....actually probably a bit faster. The problem I have with them is the weak depth capability. You basically have to be within a half inch of a coin laying flat in order to locate them in the hole...on the ProPointer for example, it can pick them up with weak slow paced beeps if they are around an inch away BUT it does that on my dirt anyway with no coin or metal there. Once you get it close to metal the sound gets faster and more intense but as in the case of the coins in this video with disappearing signals...it wouldn't have helped at all because I had to dig an additional 2-4 inches and thus they would have been out of range.
The Pistol Probe is the deepest hand held probe I've ever seen but it sounds off on my dirt itself. It could pick up a dime 3-4 inches away. SunRay makes good inline probes. When I had an Explorer II, I had the probe attachment and it was a lifesaver with that detector. It was by far the most impressive of any Ive used. Maybe they will make one for the AT series.

Interesting. I hear you re: hot dirt! I was hunting a grassy area around a school yesterday, and got several perfect quarter signals. Start digging and nothing there but squishy brown clay, soaking wet from the morning watering. 
Both the AT and pinpointer sounded off on the clay, must have been some hot oxides or black sand in there. Found a few bucks in clad and a junk ring. I use the pointer in the parks a lot, finding coins that are just below or in the turf so I can just use my giant flat blade screwdriver to 'pop' them out without digging.
