ATX Speaker vs Headphones

Does anyone enjoy using the ATX with the built-in speaker rather than the headphones? I've spent many years using headphones with detectors. Usually it makes sense, especially to hear the faint tones. However, the way the ATX works in motion mode, there really aren't any faint signals. After a couple of years of using the ATX with headphones, I tried using it without. Wow, how liberating it felt not to have the headphones wrapped around my head. I may not go back to headphones. Are there other ATX detectorists opting to leave the headphones behind?

Hi, its always headphones for me but the ones that come with the ATX are not very good, it was very windy out today and i was struggling with weak signals, try turning the threshold up you will hear the weak signals better, happy hunting.

I prefer the speaker only as well.
Never use headphones unless I'm in a noisey environment.
