ATX tested with the BIG 20" coil in HOT Australian ground

Hi Joe

Thanks for your comment and posting the video. The video has pretty much covered the ATX's operation so I should imagine that the Part 2 (if there is one) will be covering little useful hints to extract the best possible performance out of the machine. I'm happy for you receiving your ATX. Unfortunately I will have to wait until January when Garrett starts sending out the Deepseeker package. Please let us know how the ATX performs for you.

Best of luck in your hunting

Jerry

Hi Jerry. It arrived :clapping: Unfortunately I won't get to do much with it till the 28 December. Atleast I can finally hold it after waiting for so long. I sympathise with your wait. There was a nice surprise. The 12' coil came with a cover and it is a sold one too. It also came with a selection of international adaptors for the charger. No catching on vegetation or rocks. Unfortunately nothing for the 20".
:clapping:  :wiggle:

Hi Joe,

The 12" coil cover is a nice surprise indeed. I didn't think they had the covers in production as yet. Well it shouldn't take too long before the other sizes are available. I have the 8" mono coil on order, too.

Where are you planning to go prospecting, if I may ask? I live in Sydney. Long drive to the goldfields like Hill End, Sofala and Ophir being the closest. Any further and one needs longer than just a weekend.

Cheers

Jerry

Hi Jerry
I live in Brisbane and will be going to Warwick tomorrow but won't be able to do anything until Thursday. I do get down to Sydney with work in April/May and November. I do find time to get to Hill End and Sofala. I am fairly new to detecting and really enjoying it. Here are some photos of the coil cover fitted to the ATX

Hi Joe,

Thanks for posting the photo. It looks nice and snug fit. Yes, Hill End and Sofala could be promising as the ATX is very sensitive to small gold which could still be there laying undiscovered by lesser detectors. Not too many prospectors have the very expensive GPX in their arsenal, so there is a chance to find some small gold, I reason.

It's good you can go there when in Sydney, otherwise it is over 900km from Brisbane. A bit out of reach I guess! Lucky those guys who live down in Victoria. There are many more places to go there.

As you will get to try out your ATX long before I get mine, please let us know what you think of it once you do. Tye would be very much interested, too, I can imagine. Thanks and good hunting.

Cheers

Jerry

Yea I've been reading that myself, good stuff...Lol

Hi Joe & Jerry !

That's great you got your ATX Joe and thanks for the pictures of the coil cover....it's the first I've seen of it.
As usual Jerry is exactly right! ...I'm dying to hear all about your exploits with the new machine...and I mean All the details ! :clapping:

I'm not familiar with where you might be hunting ... But I hope you get to try it in some mineralized ground down you way...
That would be interesting to a lot of folks....

I do hope they start shipping the deep seeker soon....I'm not accustom to this much pain at Christmas time!!!

All the best and Merry Christmas to you both and your families !

Cheers,

Tye
