Aw Man <scratching head> good??? or bad??? news :shrug:

Went to work for 2 and a half hours today and was sent home. The boss called and has put the hotel in 'closed mode' til the end of April so as he put it I am 'on call' but not scheduled to work.

Now that could be bad news - financially. It is good news in that I am available for Casey when we have to run her to the hospital. Won't have to drop what is going on at work to run get Sherry and Casey.

Also good news is the weather is nice and that means 'detecting time'. Well, almost, now more bad news. I caught some crude causing me to hack up a lung almost. I can stand the coughing it is the strain on the hernia that is nearly killing me. So until I get better...and Sherry said she will determine that...I can't go out to play. Aw Man!!!!

Prayers for healing of the cough and the hernia! Hope you don't give it to Sherry or Casey! And mind Sherry, for Mother knows best! Sorry about the news of not working at the hotel, but available to do what....NOTHING! God will work it all out for your's, Sherry's and Casey's good, because you need to be able to be free to take care of Casey and the baby! God Bless! Betty

I will be praying for ya Pete. How come the hotel is in "closed mode" until the end of April? Renovations? Lack of business? What hotel brand do you work for (.......Holiday Inn, Comfort, Days Inn, Ramada......)? Like Mark said, it might be a good chance for you to find another job!

Formerly a Quality Inn (still has the same signs up but it is now the Atrium Plaza Hotel and Conference Center). If it was renovations, I'd be working. Just slow business this time of year but now would be the best time to do things we cannot do with guests in the building. Changing out light units that have burned out. We'd have to shut off power to a large area to replace the units safely and we can't do that when people are in the building. Go figure.

Can't haul ladders around when there is meetings and pool tournaments going on or wedding receptions, showers and even weddings. I just work there oh wait...I'm on call hahahaha.
