today when detecting I found 30 coins (clad) but I also found my first ever buffalo nickel at a local park it is a 1919, I can read the date when wet, but it does not show up in pics. How do I clean it??

ok I also found this really cool religious charm, not sure if it is silver or not.

and I also went bank hopping searching for silver half dollars, out of $1470 dollars worth of halves we ended up with 138 silvers!!! Thank you God that is $426 worth of silver for a face value of $69 bucks

GOD IS AWESOME I love his blessings! enjoy the pics

oh and my wife had a second interview for that job I requested prayer for as well, looks promising

That is awesome! Congrats on the buff, and the pendant! great job on the silver!!!! :)

Make sure the buff is just a 1919 with no mint mark.
If so put a tooth pick on a plate, then put about a teaspoon of ketchup on it. Then place the nickel in the ketchup AND ON THE TOOTH PICK, then put another teaspoon on top of the coin. Wait about an hour then rinse it and put some baking powder on it while wet and rub between your fingers and rinse again. If it is still stained try it again. ONLY DO THIS WITH NICKELS, AND NEVER WITH COINS OTHER THAN COMMON DATES!!!!!!

were all them halves 1964 or older? Or were some 40% silvers?

That "Buffalo " is a terrific find! Congratulations

It appears to be in excellent condition; should clean up really well.
Can't wait to see it cleaned and shined...
It sure looks 100% better than those "buffs" that I find

That medallion is a "Miraculous Medal" ...I found one with "Italy " stamp also...but I think unless it is stamped 925..it probably isn't silver... but I could be wrong
Maybe after you clean it , you may see some type of stamping..

A test you can do is to immerse it in ammonia..silver will turn the ammonia a beautiful blue color..try it,

I am so happy to read that your wife has a second interview...I had a good feeling about this latest job application
Let us know.....I'm praying that she will be hired.

I was just thinking that if they were all 90% then someone owed you lots more money! :) Great going!

ok here is the buffalo after light cleaning with vinegar, basically I rubbed it in my palm then rinsed with water, should I do anymore?

clean it as clean as you want. :) I will post before and afters that I did this summer! :)

What do ya think?
