Hi Shooter,
Very nice finds! Were these coins actually recovered from the water? I see on your post that you have a Fisher 990. I just bought one and I am having some trouble trying to figure it out. I have looked for a manual for it online and have struck out so far. The detector works but I am sure I am not setting it up right. Can you help me?

It isn't that different then setting up the 555-D detector, ground comp is the important setup If you want I could send the 555-D manual. I know I have my manual somewhere,but your right I only found 1 place that has it and its in Australia.PM me your 3email if you want the 555-D manual.

I wouldn't worry about Pm's yet, I noticed you have only four post and are new to the forum. There is a rule about PM's and I don't know the number but you need to be a member for a number of days and have number of post before you can send or receive PM's. You may want to look through the rules.

Welcome to the forum, and shooter is a first class old time expert of detecting, I got a lot of tips for my 1270 from him.
