Hey John,

I’m curious if you’ve tried the Axiom in your gold area. I know it wouldn’t pick up that flour gold you seem to get, but I have to wonder if there aren’t any small nuggets in the vacinity

There are so few tiny nuggets which actually could be picked up with the AXIOM. There are so many other targets in the river it would probably be a ratio of 1 tiny nugget to 5,000 signals. You are better off running a detector unstable to pick up the magnetite/hematite concentrations, where the gold also drops out.

No.....the flour gold is just too small to create any kind of a detectable signal.

Thanks, I was just curious. I was thinking that where the small stuff is, there ought to be some bigger pieces nearby (up the hill?, upstream?) that hadn't washed into the stream yet. Anyway, I had also heard such great reports about the Axiom when it first came out, I was just wondering if anyone had any real-life experience with it. Just living vicariously through you goldbugs, as there's no gold fields here in south Florida.
