Back after a long absence

Navy Doc

New member
I used to make regular posts on here but Uncle Sam kept sending me halfway around the globe. I'm a regular on another site under the name USN Doc. Just got back home to Camp Lejeune a week ago. My Excalibur was getting overhauled while I was gone and I got it back in the mail yesterday. Here's a pic of some silver and gold I found at one of our NC beaches after Irene. Glad to be back on here.

Wow, was that all in one day?!? I gotta get down there! Welcome back

I wish that were the case. No, that was about 8 trips over the course of 10 days after Irene. That first day just blew me away. Over the course of my 10 years detecting I'd found 3 silver halves. I found 6 on the first day. I'm heading back to the beach in a few days to see if there's any that I missed. If anyone is going to be on the NC coast near Morehead City from this Thursday to Sunday I'd be more than happy to have a hunting partner or two.

Nice finds. Since I'm also one of those "back after a long absence", here's an update on all my beach trips so far (since 2004):

20 trips.
41 hours.
1 gold ring.
295 coins and tokens.
About 20 toy race cars.
Rain, twice.

Oh, and one more thing... how can I reduce my photos down to 420 KB, to be able to post them??? Is there a specific program which I can use?
Thanks.
