Six of us were in Florida Eleven days, had a great time
but caught very few fish. Lake Okeechobee was really low, we only made it about 300 yards out and run the boat aground, they didn't even bother to operate the locks, just left them open all the time. We drove over to Fort Pierce and to Vero Beach for a day and man was I out of place, a hillbilly on the beach
but sure did like the scenery
. I didn't see anybody detecting at any of the beaches which was a surprise to me, but maybe I just didn't see em as I was busy, uh, looking at the scenery
Anyway it's good to be home and back in the hills.
