We got home on Amtrak last night after 8 days in Louisiana. The grandkids sure wear us out - but fun. I managed to get out detecting a few times and dug about 400 coins, 1 buffalo nickel was the only old one.

I did get a couple nice rings - the left one is 18 K stamped but the other is not precious, but looks nice.
Man, you guys can have that humidity :( I think the coins are still damp.

I took my Shadow detector down there, went detecting with them & left it for the kids to use. Maybe get a convert some day. Steve in so az

Congrats Steve and Nancy on your trip to see your son and grandkids and on all the coins found! The rings are pretty! :) Yes, the heat is terrible when the humidity is high! Don't need to go swimming as a person looks like they've already been in the water!

God Bless!

Congrats on the gold! I think I'm gonna hit the water in the morning! :)

I came back to Michigan on Amtrack from Florida...took 2 days from Florida to Washington DC to Indiana then back into Michigan.....could have taken a Greyhound bus and got home sooner and with less 'saddle sore' to the caboose.
