Way too windy to fish, so I went and hit that music festival and some totlots, soccer fields etc...got 12.89 and 101 coins, and a dollar bill that was blowing across a parking lot! Plus this little victorinox knife. and home by noon. Running the F70 usual low sens junkyard mode...seems even with the big coil, a guy can sort of weezel through it just using the center of the coil as if it was a little one, and keeping the coil sort of high off the ground, like 3-4" its a slow way of going, visualizing a "cone" signal coming out of the bottom of the coil and trying to use the focal point of it only..trying to lock on to those quarter and dime chirps is what I do..telling a bottle cap from a Q or D is no problem, depth is @3-4 max. So for sweeping shallow targets in the trash this is about a good a set up as a fellow can get with the 11"dd I think.

Nice finds............... looks like you had fun.

Mud, you found my knife! I didn't even know I had lost it. You are good!

I bet the fish are glad your taking a break???? :bouncy: You must have a boat load of fish by now?
My first hunt since the flood in the apartment was yesterday.
Nice pile of coins. Mighty fine detecting Mud. It probably would be easier to use a small coil? I never take the 6.5" off my F70 anymore. Great detecting Mud....Z
