Back to the deep woods & the old spoon

[size=x-large]got out to the deep woods whith my detecting freind , was a nice day 70f no wind no bugs overcast . we hunted a high spot that rarly floods we found some shot shells a big iron pin and an old spoon wich i supose was part of a table setting that old Ma would have saved all the money she got from chicken eggs in the 1930s and I,m shure she was eyeing the sears catalage for some years when she finally had enuph money saved and the fatfull day came to get the fancy silverware set silver plated of course but who would know Ma cherished the set and one fine day danny had to go out hunting in the deep woods to put some food on the table and he had a can of beans to eat wile he was out in the woods he decided to grab one of Ma<s bigger spoons ,, after all he would bring it back now as danny stalked the deer he shot and hit it but it ran and danny got so exited he ran quickly from his spot and the spoon slipped out of his pocket and fell in the leaves after fowlowing the deer for a long way he found the deer by the river he dreesed it and began to take it back and ariving home at dark he did not remember til the next day . Ohh Mas spoon whear is it?. he went back to search but never found it . how many mashed potatoes did that spoon scoop up that mom made how much oat meal whith molasis all the thanksgiving meals scooping up gravy now it lay someshear in the woods in the dirt never again would it find its way to the table and scoop up moms wonderfull homemade meals corn bread mashed potatoes and butter and pepper garden fresh beans now it lay in the dirt whith the worms and microbes . Mom did ask danny whear the spoon was He had no anser but in time the rest of the set wor out and the silver wore off and they got scratchet and eventully wound up in a thrift store for 5 cent a piece and times got better for Ma and she got a real sterling set that only comes out on holodays and all the piesces ar thear God bless MOM [/size]
