Back to the old park

I went back to the old park to get back further,Where it is all woods and grown up now.
I took off from the truck and got a good signal right off the bat.[attachment 150007 detectinsmiley.gif]

Dig,Dig,Dig,crap a clad quarter,so i head for the grown up stuff.[attachment 150008 unsure.gif]
Get back in the brush a ways,dig foil,cans,bottle caps.Hmmm,thats a perfect nickel signal,Dig.
Hey,a V-Nickel,look at the date,1901,Cool.Goes in an empty pocket.
Look for two more hours about to give up,get another nickel signal,Dig.
Wow,its a thin coin,Look,hey another V,a 1896.Cooler yet.
Look a little longer,Nothing.Ok time to go home for now,but i'll be back.
It just blows my mind,that i can't find an injun here yet,no silver,only V nickels.
Newer clad,but not even a buffalo here yet.
Oh well,it was fun.The pics are after i cleaned them up a little,Water scrub with an old toothbrush,
Then i use a pencil eraser on them lightly.
Not a bad start for my neck of the woods,with all the Metal detecting clubs they use to have around here.

Yes,i use the pro coil,but all three that i have dug here were only like three inches deep!

Nice nickels. I like the explorers for nickels. There is a perfect little place on the smartscreen. I bet I could find your park.........Maybe somewhere south of Joplin????? Just kidding, I will leave it alone!
