Back to the old school / park

[Mark in S.E. IA]

Sat, I took the 2 1/2 drive to go back the the park that I have been doing so good at over the past month and it was worth the drive.

I found my first whole school bell. Over the years I've found a lot of pieces of them while doing the 1 room school houses/fields. now I have a whole one and it has a nice ring to it too.

As you can see in the Pic I found the 4 silver quarters, a Merc, 18 wheat's. a luck wheat penny that is not so lucky, the guy lost it, lol. a sterling silver ring and the coal tag with the bag tie. The reason I put them in the pic is that I found so many of then in a small area way out back but in the same area I found one of the quarters and the Merc.

So far I have been to this park 4 times now and have found 29 silver coins and 57 wheat's for a silver to wheat ratio of 2 to 1, that's just crazy....

Looks like you cleaned up! It's not too often that you can find that many big silvers. That's a nice bell. Looks like it was turned on a lathe based on the horizontal lines. Nice finds!

Yep, that's the only MDer I use and the 10.5 MF DD coil.
