Went back to our most popular park after work tonight, arrived around 6pm and stayed until dark (8.20),managed $22 in $1 & $2 coins along with a mixture of older decimal coins and even older pennys, also a small silver ring. This park is very large so have many more hunts ahead yet to look forward to.....HH jim

Cool... What is the average age you are looking at on those coins? Your in New Zealand? How old can you expect to find there?

The $1 and $2 gold coins are in current usage and have been in circulation for around 20 years always a bonus to get a handful of them.the older larger copper coins are pennys the one's in the picture are around the 50's and 60's.the oldest we would expect to find here would be about 1860.The wee small coins are 1c and 2c bits they are not really worth digging up,but they ring up 12-38 on the etrac so never quite sure what to expect,And yip in New Zealand (ask me who won the the world rugby cup haha)
