It's been two years since I traded my old XS and started playing the field. This is the first detector that I have owned two of them and I wondered if the success that I had with the first one would return. Within ten minutes, I felt like I never had been away for two years. No problems and deep coins were popping out of the ground. I had probably 500 hours with my old
Explorer and I never once used the pinpoint button. Today, I was digging some of the 10 inch deep Explorer holes and I was having alittle problem finding the coin, so I hit the button. It worked pretty good and helped me find the coin. Also, I have never used a detector that would find deep nickles like the Explorer and today I jumped back in the saddle again. Two Buff's from 8 inches! I ended up with 55 coins, 10 wheats(1910, 1913, 1914, 1918, and 1920) were the oldest. Two IH's 1885 oldest and the 2 buffs. I was hunting an old school that must have had fill put in as I dug three or 4 coins that were 9 to 10 inches deep. No silver, but as I was hunting today and dug some deep coins, it all came back to me. I can remember the soft warble of silver. It's just a matter of time! R.L.
