Well been waiting since feb. 2010 for my battery chargers for my new Safari.Whats with minelab? How long could it take to ship two chargers? If this is an indication of their service I hope I never need service on my safari!!! Come on minelab get with the program ! ! they sent me my battery but no charger.I bet I've gone through 10 sets of Energizers since I've had my Safari.Every day I look at my rechargable battery setting there What a joke... Boy for all the money I payed for the machine you think they would try to help me out. I called minelab and got no help.Kellyco keeps telling me they are waiting also.anybody else having problems getting stuff.I'm trying to be patient but batteries are costing me quite a bit.Almost out of hunting weather now.Minelab should be assamed of their service.Heck of a way to run a business.I'm having a great time with the safari but it would be nice to use my battery the I bought...

Wow Dave, we must be on the same wavelength. I posted a similar question mere hours before you did. I actually am holding off on buying a Safari as it seems that no one on the net sells the battery charger for the Safari rechargeable battery pack. Go to any Minelab dealer on-line and their are tons of Minelab accessories that are on"back order". I wonder if anyone in this forum has a solution for rechargeable AA batteries and a base charger that will work with metal detectors. I think we should check with radio shack, best buy, etc etc. Anyone have any recommendations?
Minelab has got to get it's act in gear.

Good luck Dave

Take care

Went to batteries plus and bought a Powerex charger and 8 batteries. Cost over $100, but the charger will do anything you need done to a battery. Cycle, charge and discharge, refresh, analyze and break in.. Works well in my safari.
Batts are rated at 2700 mah
Good Luck

Minelab has been in the process of moving its US headquarters from Las Vegas to Chicago and setting up new personnell. They should be done soon and I believe they have a few loads of equipment they are unpacking now.

I have also been waiting since February... Same story about moving, then all the sales to Africa.. Then the mlitary,... Have to say our construction company, dismantled a Nitrogen gas plant, compressors exchanges, 180' tower, shipped it to another state and re-assembled it in 6 months.... You'd think they would get Fed-ex to help a little huh???

Well I hope I get my chargers bofore winter or I'll have to wait for spring to test them out.Hope mine lab is watching this site and tries to help us(loyal minelabers ) Better get their act together,I'd hate to have to sell this machine for another brand. We will see what the future brings.

Jason one option is to buy Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries and an Enecharger for them. It comes with AC and car charging leads and will charge up to from 1 to 8 batteries at a time of aa's aaa's or a mix of both. The charger will detect bad batteries so can be used to check other rechargeable batteries you may have. The best thing is the Eneloops loose very little charge when not being used so last very well, ideal for cameras that take aa's also.

Sorry Jason I hadn't read your previous post, here is a link to the charger that does 8 batteries at a time.

I would expect you should be able to find a dealer selling them in the USA.
