My Fisher F70 had to go back for repair. It seems the screen was not sealed very well and dirt got into the inside of the detector screen and was making the menu items difficult to read. This left me to use my old Titan 3000XD for my backup. I went out today and detected with it in a park that is not old enough for old or deep silver. The Titan surprised me at its ability to detect coins among trash and iron. I was using the ten inch coil and all metal settings. The detector found 4 clad dimes at 4 or more inches and a nail at 7 inches It also found 8 pennies one being a wheatie at 6 inches. The machine showed coins near iron much better than I expected. I hope may F70 gets back soon but will be able to do a pretty good job with the Titan until my Fisher is returned. These coins were found in an ares that I have detected many times over the last 4 years with an Explorer SE, White's MXT, Fisher F70 and the Titan 3000XD. This goes to show you once again you can't completely clean a sight out. There is just to many variables to deal with.
