Backyard Hunt Before Dark I Found Silver!

Hey guys yesterday evening I got board so I decided to MD my backyard right before dark. In this one spot I got 2 hits close together. The first target I dug was zincoln. The second target was reading 37, 38, and 39, and was bouncing between the three numbers. It was getting dark and was getting hard to see, but at about three inches I pull out what looked like a large silver earring. I am guessing that's what it is. So I turned off the Quattro and went into the house to clean it up. It was marked sterling inside and it looks like it was made from an old sterling teaspoon handle. I have no idea how it got there. After 25 years of MD'ing I am still finding good things in my backyard.

Congrats...just goes to show that anytime MD'g is an adventure in the making.

John, that is a good find. I just went out in my yard, in ten minutes I hit on a quarter. It was nothing special but I'm wondering, one of these days my yard is going to stop giving up money. It was a nice short break, wish it was something impressive to show but it was just a clad quarter.
