Bad Coil

I just got my new d2 coil from whites! my friend and i went straight to the part. me with my vx3, and him with his mxt pro all ; I could not get a good lock on ! my buddy had a silver dime an 3 weat cents. i new something was wrong with my machine ! when i got home the first thing i did was to hit my test garden! the new coil would not lock on my targets wright ! hit and miss . we took his 10'' coil off of his pro all and put it on my vx3 . bean go!! so now i know i got a bad coil, and will send it back to whites tomarrow ! i love my vx3 and whites metal detectors. good hunting to all of you ;

curious did u do the rx15 test? gl with sending it in hopefully the turn around is quick

Hi postal two ; yes i did and it did past the test ! but i knew it was not working right . it gave gost signels ! it would id 82- 83 9" and knowing in the hole. when testing with friends d2 10'' coil, would not do this so i sent my coil to whites today for a replacement ! whites said if i would send it to them that they would send me a new one !

Whites customer service is the best IMHO ! They take good care of their customers for sure, and that's the reason I know my V3I will be around for a long time
