my 2 year old and i were picking up my 7 year old from school today. while in her class room i was trying to help her gather some of her things up. as i was doing this my 2 year old decided to draw on the dry erase board as he does everytime he comes with me. well the teacher left the brand new projection screen pulled down. it covers part of the board...need i say more? nice designs were then put on the screen by my 2 year old with dry erase marker. i was told by the principle that if it dosnt come out i have to for it. a few hundred dollars. i may have to sell my detector to help for some of the cost.... its taking all i have not to go into tears right now.....

hope it comes out!!! if you have to pay for it tyr and make payments untill its paid for.

most times we worry about things that never happen. School is almost over anyway so it isn't like it has to be replaced by tomorrow. Take it to the Lord in prayer then let Him take care of the situation. Will pray it comes out.

Ya know if the teacher knows that the 2 year old does this everyday, she is partly responsible for leaving it down instead of getting it out of the childs reach.

Mt 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
(KJV)

Father God, In the name of Jesus, I bind the foul tongue of the principal. Your Word says I can bind on earth and it will be bound in heaven with that being said Father I consider it done. No more foul language will be allowed out of his mouth...especially around children and your children. Thank Father. In Jesus name. Amen.

thank you guys. i am upset but i look at as this now that i have had time....if i do have to pay for it.....they are just going to throw the other one away...it would look mighty fine in my garage to go with my projector... tomarrow i have to met with the principle again and my daughters teacher. dont know why her teacher but thats what the principle said. its not like my daughter whos in her class had anything to do with it. ,look at me being 32 tomarrow and being sent to the principles office....

I will pray that the school powers that be go a different direction with who pays for it!

Mike

I am sorry, but I do NOT agree with what the principal is saying. First schools have insurance. Is this a private school or a public school? If it is a public school you need to go higher than the principal. I know it wasn't your elementary school daughter that did it but kids will be kids. You can also call the dry erase people and see if they have a solution to get it out.

I wouldn't leave it in his hands. Also if he swears, especially in front of you, it would also be time to go above his head. NOBODY deserves that and he has a boss somewhere. If he didn't have kids he should NEVER have been a principal in the first place.

Do you have homeowners insurance? They might cover it also IF it is your responsibility. I DOUBT they can make you pay for it. Our schools are PUBLICLY funded AND they know kids break things.

PLEASE, don't take his word for it.

Take this advice from a former cop and a 51 year old that has seen a lot in his years. Good luck.

Bob

where a child is near a table of snacks in the cafeteria and accidently pulls the table cloth ..paper or otherwise and all the "goodies" fall to the floor, the liquids spill..etc. .Is that child's family liable to pay for all the spilled items? I don't think so....I'll be waiting to hear of the outcome of this meeting that is scheduled.

I hope it will result in your favor,Dobbie..

we don't expect principals to be cursing parents either in public or private.

Tdoay is your 32nd birthday and you are going to the principals office or did you say it was strange that you are 32 and going to the principals office?

If it is the first case....happy birthday to you (not a good start to a day of celebrating your birth but don;t let it ruin it for ya).

If the second case be what you meant, I can say you're a lot smarter than the one you are going to go see!

I agree with Bob about going over his head.

he is meeting with the school board tomarrow. the teacher understands although all i got from the principle was rolling eyes and God's name being used in a way it shouldnt. Yes its my Bday today today..dont bother asking how its going. thanks...

From another ex cop.... You should not have to pay for it. It was an accident and schools have insurance.

David

it is a public school..and he got principle of the year award for the state of cali last year..just goes to show our school systems here...

Ok. Take a deep breath and relax. This is not the big issue he is trying to make it.

First. Somebody should call the marker company and see what they reccomend.

Second. If he is swearing the next time you see him take a minuature recorder if you have one. That is unacceptable. The law on a recorder is you can use it if you have ONE of the party's permissions to tape the conversation. You have YOUR permission.

Third School board tomorrow???? Find out if it is a public meeting. GO if you can.

Fourth: You need to complain to them how your being treated. This is an ELEMENTARY school. All board members have probably seen worse things.

Fifth this is your birthday ENJOY IT!!!!!!!!!!

This is small stuff.
