Bad Weather--time for some bench testing--Silver and Eldo umax

I just wanted to see how these two detectors compare to each other. I do know the Eldo goes deeper on the beach hunting in all metal than the silver.
First off I was air testing in the house, too terrible to go out and my curiosity got the best of me. As both share the Eldorado IC chip inside.
Pulled out a number of coins to use as targets.

Using 8x10 spoke, brown donut on the Silver, both air tested the same
Using 8x10 spoke, brown donut on the Eldo, both air tested the same
No performance Advantage, use either coil that suits you.

Performance overall using both coils above and the 5.75 concentric are similar in the air.

Hunted with both mainly on the sandy beach this fall, can say they are comparable in depth. But, in all metal mode the the edge to the Eldo as it would
go deeper as it could be manually GB to the sand. Also since it is threshold based, always a had a slight threshold sound to audibly hear the weaker
deeper targets.

Air tests are for reference only, does not guarantee you'll get that depth in actual hunting conditions. Depending upon soil conditions you may get better or less
depth indicated on chart. Please note, Eldo was ground balanced as close as I could possibly get to be similar to Silver's factory pre-set gb.

Nice chart you made there........looks like you used a real ruler instead of some peoples version of a 'Texas' size fish ruler. My detectors don't airtest real deep but they go deeper in the ground on real targets.

One time, hunting around an old logging camp area, I dug a very rusty, gallon sized can at a measured 15" with the Eldo and the 7" DD coil. Very solid signal and granted, the gallon can is MUCH bigger than any coin, but I was pleased with the performance.
