For coins and maybe rings, I'd suggest checking out baseball parks, especially where there once used to be grand stands. For example if you live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, check out Sinclair Park in the North End on the side facing Church Ave. I used to find coins there when I was a kid without even digging too deep. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> They all went for candy and cream soda, but I still have some of them in my collection.
Other areas to check out in snowy regions is where they usually pile up snow in the winter months.
