LEARNED MY LESSON--------------DO NOT TRUST ANYONE ON E-BAY UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM AND HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM.

how was the guys feedback? I do not buy from anyone with less than a 99% positive feedback and ALWAYS pay with paypal since they offer buyer protection I have bought 100's of ebay items over the last 9 years and only lost out one time and that was something for $10 bucks. I am sorry you got ripped off.

I only buy from people that have alomost if not perfect feedback rating and they have to have done many deals.
They will drop him if he rips a few people off!

We know it's always a risk to purchase stuff from E-Bay, that's why I check their feed back, although now you can't leave negative feedback anymore. I know it's a pain to establish a pay-pal account, but, you are insured for your purchases from E-Bay, and they are a little more, or much more responsive to bad deals like the one you had. I had one for a piano, a Korg which, get this, a Doctor had put up for auction. Since, I needed this piano to start on my symphoney using Sibelus, the devil got into the matter, because, seams the seller had bought the piano two years earlier and was expecting the same amount in retrun, becuase he took very good care of it, but he also didn't not place a reserve to save money, and it cost him, because, I won the piano at 720.00, piano went for about a 1,000,00 or more in very good condition. So, what does this doctor does is, he also dissappeared and didn't answer my e-mails.

I immediately contact my credit card plus which Pay-Pay also has, and I signed up for that reason, the insurance policy... Seller finally, had to contact me because Pay-Pal wanted to know why the piano was not shipped when he had accepted payment, he claimed not to have accepted or received payment, by the way, I had sent the seller a thank you note for being able to win such a nice piano for such a good price, and that I was going to use it to write gospel music. As we may or may not know, a lot of doctors don't believe in God, they think they are God, and when I spoke to him on the phone, that's the impression I got, he didn't like the thank you note, and said he was sick, and was why he didn't shipped the piano, and said he would ship it that day since he had came out of the hospital a day earlier, well, I waited and dropped the case against him, which Pay-Pal told me I should have not have done till I received the piano, which I didn't, so I had to contact the seller again... This time, he tells me that He had paid 1,200.00 for the piano, and could not believe that the bidding went so bad, and couldn't let the piano go for the winning bid, so he began to stall again saying he didn't receive the transfer from Pay-Pal, which he did.

I had to go through Pay-Pal again and called, they took care of me as quickly as you can say... done, they immediately return my money and went after the doctor who was terminated from E-Bay and using Pay-Pal as a registered user, and charged him the fees for using their collection services. So, if you don't wnat to go through problems like this, keep focus when looking for stuff on E-Bay, and shop and shop through many listing, you may just get something for hundreds less if you look and take your time, look at the description and return policies and the shipping coast as many charge more then they are supposed to, and E-Bay has addressed that concern, because if a seller is charging more for shipping than they are supposed to, they get a warning at the end of the auction placing part of the posting, telling them they are charging too much for shipping and the item will not be psoted, and if they do post it and the buyer complains, the seller is told that. So, shop with knowledge, not with impulse.... God Bless and HH....Have a great Thanksgiving Dinner all.

also just a reminder, sellers on ebay CANNOT leave buyers negative feedback anymore, so make sure you leave him appropiate feedback

The title of the auction indicated rolls of 40% silver halves, the description said SILVER, in the text below was an indication that they might not be. PayPal took the text below and I had bid at silver not non-silver. Cost me heavily. The guy wasn't honest enough to give my money back and probably had been through it before, knowing he would win. PayPal can't be trusted either. Sounds like your guy didn't have many auctions. How many did he have? By the way if they have a few auctions they can re-register with a new ID. Feebay doesn't do anything about that either. See if the post office will do anything about using the mail for fraud.
May God bless you.

Sorry about the way things went. Not all are children of our God...too many serve some other god. Pray for him anyway even if he did you wrong.

Sorry Bill about your problem with E-bay.....and I would pay attention to what others have posted concerning selling and buying off of it! Some very bad apples can spoil it for all the good apples! Prayers for you to get your money back from the scam artist! God Bless! Betty

all I can say is this, my brother and I were power sellers on ebay for 5+ yrs and several times buyers were not happy with something, whether it was they felt shipping was too high, the color was not perfect, or whatever reason they could think up and EVERYTIME paypal backed the BUYER not me as the seller. In five yrs elling on ebay I cannot remember paypal backing me as a seller ONE time. And we did 200+ auctions a week.

anybody that ships a detector in this shape should be suspended for life.never in my life have i seen someone abused a detector in this manner--mud,dirt,rust,corrosion and battery acid inside the case ---GO FIRGURE????:ranting:I SENT IT TO WHITES REPAIR SERVICE AFTER I SPEND 2 HOURS CLEANING THE MESS.IT WAS SO BAD THAT THE REPAIRMAN IS HAVING TO SEND IT BACK---------------PILE OF JUNK!!!

definitely have to stick with Pay Pal and a credit card and do a bit of research on the seller... I've bought a couple of things from Ebay but only had one bad experience... some coins I ordered never arrived. The seller refunded my money immediately.

I guess it's just buyer beware. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is :) Next time (hopefully not :) ), take lots of pics :)
