Barber - check. Roosie - check. Hey - where's the Merc??

Howdy,

Got out today for some lovely sunshine and leaves on the ground. Rather than returning to my old standby site, I again ventured off in search of new ground. As I tried a spot, I tried to get a couple coin signals to sample age and depth. First couple spots produced Memorials at 8 inches. Time to keep moving. Second spot was pretty devoid of signals, but did manage to snag a Roosie. The last spot looked good, with several large old trees. First signal was near one of them, and fairly deep (and within various roots too). But finally wrangled it out and was excited to see a Barber dime from under the dirt. That got my attention, so I decided to stay and focus on this last spot. Ugh - burned up the rest of time and didn't get another decent signal the whole time.

So, ended up with just the two dimes. No Wheats, no Indians, just the two silvers. Was hoping I could pop a Merc somewhere to fill in the trifecta, but just couldn't find it today.

Only about four weeks left in the season at this point typically, so trying to make the hunts count!

Thanks for looking.

HH,
