dont get much better than some older silver!:bouncy: cool lock too but have no idea why a gun company would make a lock like that???

Welcome Weston and congrats on the nice finds! Many start detecting at a young age and are capable of doing more swingin' and diggn' than the older folks who tire out more quickly! Starting younger will give you years of experience and be a professional in just a few years! The lock was probably made by Winchester along with their guns to lock their strong boxes or saddle bags hauled by Stage Coaches and when riding horses!
