Went just creeping along, trying to lock onto anything that sounded remotely decent in a trashy area. Got an iffy signal, didn't even cross my mind that silver was a possibility, but what sound there was seemed promising - at least some higher tone chirps. Was somewhat repeatable from different angles, but not fully.
This was the last target of the short hunt, the sun was just setting at this point. I had enough light to see what looked like a silver edge in the dirt clump, and the size of it, so I just put the whole clump in my cotton cannister, and re-scanned the hole before wrapping up. I think it was on edge, probably at least six inches down or more. Here's how it turned out. The ground was really rocky/sandy type dirt (as can be seen in the pics), which was too bad, as the Barber has a full 'Liberty' on it.
This is ground I've been over and over with my other 'tector before, so I'm just tickled to be able to start over again with the SE and start finding stuff like this.
