Barber quarter

still looking 52

Well-known member
Got lucky today and found this Barber Quarter. 1908 O mint mark.
It was my first coin of the day so naturally I'm thinking this new place we found is going to be full of silver, it was the only silver we found all day.

Still Looking's brother here and I was with him on today's hunt. We were at a site in a near by town and it was a old home site that we were told dated back in the 1800's. It looked good but it didn't take long until we found signs of other detecting before us.
We have had pretty slim pickings this year on our silver, so his silver find today was a welcome site.

Well, if others missed that quarter, they surely may have missed other coins too..

Well brother Greg the quarter finder was running his one and only Fisher F5.
I was running my Minelab E-Trac.

We flag all of our targets to let each check the others targets. We think this is good training and helps on some of the digging.
