Barbers anyone??

Got out today for a full day hunt with Todd from Mass, and Charles & Ed from upstate NY, at my local "seated park". Unfortunately we didn't get a single seated, but we did get our share of barbers and indians- over 30 among the four of us.
The 1902 barber quarter and 1803 large cent at the top of my pic, I found on Tuesday, and the 3 barbers and rest of stuff I found today, including 7 indians- the best being an 1862 fatty.
Thanks to Todd/Charles/Ed for making the long trek down here- it was a fun day- hopefully we can do it again next spring.

It was a lot of fun Jeff, thanks for the invite. I guess the EXII will have to hibernate until spring, but I would love to hit that park again after the frost heaves move things around.
Take care,
Todd

Everything was from 7 to 10 inches down. There are certain areas of the park where the soil is really hard-packed, and sometimes you can find an Indian at just a couple of inches down. Then there are places where the soil is very soft, and the finds collect down at the 7 inch or deeper mark. The Explorer sniffs 'em out though, seemingly no matter how deep they are.

Glad I had the chance to meet you and Todd. Amazing what 4 explorers can pull out of a park in one day.
My indians are taking a peroxide bath and my Barber dime is already in a 2x2 sitting in my Barber binder.
It was a long day and but looking forward to making the trip again in the Spring.

Well we gave the park a good beating and took home some keepers, thats a good day in my book. Thanks again for having us down your way Jeff. That Todd is really getting to be a seasoned veteran with the Explorer, 4 barbers in one hunt, very nice.

Looks like you guys had a great outing.....I can only dream of things like those until springtime.Snow fallin as I type.
Excellant Barber Jeff & crew....

That 1803 has most of the hair so I can only guess it is worth a lot of money.
Wish I had parks around here with oldies like those!
