Barstow area

Anyone familiar with the area above Barstow (Goldstone)? We're planning a trip there to gold detect, next week and looking for the best way in. I understand, it's a little rough. I'm pulling a little 16' Toyhauler. Have several map programs, but they don't really show how bad the roads are.
Thanks, Shep

Hi Shep,

Pat Keene of Keene Engineering might have some information.
Another source of info could be one of the officers of the Antelope Valley Treasure Hunters Society. On their web site, click Club Officers for e-Mail addresses.
Both of these organizations are involved with nuggett detecting in the Mojave Desert.

Hope the links help, Bob

Thanks for the info. I thought about Pat, but hadn't gotten around to e-mailing him yet.
Appreciate the help. Shep
