batteries for the safari?

Sorry guys, could you tell me again what are the recharge. batteries I can use for the safari. I think I remember someone writing about sanyo 2700.

Also, I did a dime trifecta with safari the other day but I don't have a working camera. 1906 barber, 1940 merc and 1948 rosie.

Thanks

Great job on the dime trifecta! Hoping you can get some pics up soon.

I went to Radio Shack and bought the 2100mAh rechargeables and two chargers. They work great and last quite a while and only take about 30-40 minutes for total recharge.

Maybe you were thinking of the Sanyo Eneloop batteries. They don't loose charge when not in use, great for cameras too. There is a charger called an enecharger that comes with 8 eneloop AA's, it takes 8 batteries but does allow you to charge any number from 1 to 8 at a time so is very versatile.

I am using Tenergy 2600 mAh NiMH batteries, I got them from a place on the web called all-battery.com and they work great. I charge with the T6278 smart charger which has a discharge feature.
I did notice that the battery meter on the Safari dropped one bar shortly after I started hunting, but it didn't move much after that. I have hunted for about 6 hours on these batteries so far.
