battery charger

my battery charger and my three charging lines got separated and now I am not sure that I have the right charger to plug into the wall? I have attached two pictures of the charger that I presume is the correct charger. I just don't want to use the wrong charger and harm the detector. If anyone can verify that this looks like the correct charge it would be appreciated.

Here is a picture of my charger for my Xp Deus. I bought mine in April of 2014. Your picture of a charger doesn't look the same as mine. Mine is a right angle construction unit. Hope this helps.

unfortunately both the product manual and book by Andy Sabich show the European version of the charger, which is way different that the American version. If anyone can help me it sure would be appreciated as I would like to charge it up and go out tomorrow and take advantage of the good weather. thanks

X2 what UNEARTH said.
and I got my DEUS in 2012

I take it you are not in the US...
In that case I hope one of you guys across the pond on the east side will shoot a picture and post it.

I am in the U.S. The pictures in the manual and also in the book by Andy Sabisch show the European charger which was of no help. Thanks for the reply

I have a charger that looks like your charger but I didn't think that was it because on the back it has "Samsung".. Maybe I should wait and call XP? Thanks

most any USB charger will work. just some don't put out as much amps as others do but any USB charger will work

You can shorten the charging time, and possibly battery life.. but that is about it.. there are a couple of caveats though..

http://www.extremetech.com/computing/115251-how-usb-charging-works-or-how-to-avoid-blowing-up-your-smartphone..

"There is a huge variance, then, between normal USB ports rated at 500mA and dedicated charging ports which range all the way up to 3,000mA. This leads to a rather important question: If you take a smartphone which came with a 900mA wall charger, and plug it into a 2,100mA iPad charger, as an example, will it blow up?

In short, no: You can plug any USB device into any USB cable and into any USB port, and nothing will blow up — and in fact, using a more powerful charger should speed up battery charging.

The longer answer is that the age of your device plays an important role, dictating both how fast it can be charged, and whether it can be charged using a wall charger at all. Way back in 2007, the USB Implementers Forum released the Battery Charging Specification, which standardized faster ways of charging USB devices, either by pumping more amps through your PC’s USB ports, or by using a wall charger. Shortly thereafter, USB devices that implemented this spec started to arrive."
