Would like some feedback on the power of the detector at say, half charge. I was going over an 1870 house that i cleaned up on 20 years ago with my old analoge. Was just not getting deep hits on anything. Was incredulous that there wasn`t at least a wheatie i had missed. Of course i did work it hard with a heavy 11 inch coil then, but I still suspect the lower battery was makin the SE less hot. What do you guys think? HH

I know it had an affect on other machines i used to use.... but not the SE. Ive ran them down to EMPTY and have never noticed a difference in depth. Ive had mine and use the 1600 every since they came out... what 3 or 4 years ago. Ive been in spots that it was more of whats in the ground than you might think. I hunt fields..... here in Ind. and man the depth sucks sometimes. The hot rocks and minerals just kill the depth. You might try letting it run down.... bring along your AAA pack and test it on a deep FOUND target. Ive done that with mine and there just wasnt a difference. HOWEVER, we all know no two machines are the same.

I dont know Randy but it seems to me that my Se gets better when I get to about half on the battery. Could just be my imagination but I would swear it starts hitting those deeper signals better. Crazy I know but thats been my experience so far.

I have not noticed and power lose either.

I have had the machine beep for low battery and dug and wheat up at 9 inches.
