battery life??

have an Etrac on order....question...how long are fully charged NiMH batteries expected to last?? what about alkalines?

Thanks!!! I see that car chargers are offered for sale which led me to think that the NiMH wouldn't last long enough on a full charge.
Some charged batteries and a set of backup alkies should cover it.

I get a full day hunting out of mine. The 1800 mah one hour or so more.

My arm gives out long before the batteries do. I keep a set of Duracell NiMH in the spare pack and even after a 6 hour hunt that pack still had plenty of life in it but I was tired out!

I charged my battery for the recommended 18 hours and got two hunts out with half a battery left.

I get 16 to 17 hours of hunting on the standard rechargeable battery and always carry the AA backup for when it goes "low" on me. I used to carry rechargeable AA's, but they went bad on me because I used them so rarely.

My E-Trac is almost three years old and I have been impressed with the rechargeable battery life so far.
