Took the Gold out for a spin, no different than any other day, I put my rechargeable batteries in started swinging and off she went, pulled the pack out, in, out, in would work a couple swings and go out. I first tried a piece of paper between the battery cover and the pack with no help. I looked at the pack both banks looked ok at first but the spring on one bank had collapsed some, I used a small screwdriver and expanded the spring back out and that fixed the problem. So as an FYI if your unit cuts out on you it could be the battery pack spring.
