Battery XT17000

iron bark

:ausflag:Hi from Aus just picked up a 2nd hand xt17000 with no battery pack, can anyone point me in the right direction on what other batteries can be used as genuine ML batteries are $114 plus charger bit rich thanks john:thumbup:

I had to do this with a Soverine, the first one that came out. Get you two 4 cell AA battery holders, and two of the snap on 9 volt connectors, wires them in, and you can use the AA battateries. Simple to do, just wire them in series. so you have the 12 volts you need. Grubstake

Alkaline packs for the Sovereign GT and Elite used condition can be inexpensive 25-40 dollars. If you need to make a rechargeable pack these can be made to hold 10 AAA rechargeable batteries. This will convert the Alkaline holder pack to a rechargeable pack.I current use this setup and have an extra alkaline pack for my Elite, inexpensive and works.Good Luck
