Battling Satan

Yes, Tesoronut, we have good and not as good days, but God gives us the strength to get through today, for the past is over and tomorrow may not come! We have to live one day at a time and overcome it and then we do the same the next day, if we are still living in these mortal bodies....which will be today! :) Prayers, God's Word and posts by brothers and sisters help get each of us through to face the next one, which Jesus will take us through if we allow Him to and give Praise and Thanks for His goodness! Just keep following in Jesus' light and praying or just call on Jesus to help you, if that is all you can say or pray at the time of a trying trial! I've been there and done that! He knows what we need without asking, but He does want us to ask, but if we hurt too much at the time, He will help us the way we need it, without asking! We are all here to help, too! JUST ASK!!! We all need prayer sometime or another! God Bless! Betty

while I was on them pain-killers-DARK,EVIL THOUGHTS..........Ive seen things done by people under the influence of -their drug of choice that tells me one thing-All these substances can put ya in the devil's play ground;REALLY seriously scary:thumbdown::blink::wacko::(

Yes, wgsteve, the devil uses any means he can to get each of us to go back into the dark world of sinfulness and alcohol and other powerful drugs do that....even anti-depressants! Many have committed suicide when on some of them! I take a very light prescription now which keeps me from getting into a deep hole of sadness! But my love for Jesus is the best of spirits that can be used and taken without any after effects! Amen! God Bless! Betty

One day at a time.....That's about it. I spent hours and hours in prayer and in the Bible yesterday(at work, if you can believe it). I work alone, in a secluded building(by myself), and a 15-hour day can "take it's toll" on you mentally. I can't decide if quitting the long-term drinking has caused all of my problems, or what....May be a combination of things. Almost 3 months sober now, and I still have good days and bad ones. Going to see a Christian counselor this morning, before I go to work. I'm thinking about getting an appointment with a "shrink" to see what's going on. Trying to diagnose yourself is a "losing battle". Thanks to each of you for your concerns. They have really meant alot to me. I wish I could return the favor someday(but I wouldn't want to see any of you in my position). Thanks, again!!:please:

You are welcome, Tesoronut! We all have our trials in different ways but some have more struggles to overcome than others! My prayers are with you and I truly pray that the counselor and the Shrink can help, but Im not sure about the second one, unless they know Jesus and don't give you a lot or wordly jibberish trying to help you! I will pray that each one will help you in your staying on the staight and narrow and that you will come trhough with flying colors by believing faith in Jesus! Remember, He is our Rock to stand on and He will never turn you loose unless you desire to do so, yourself! I have never drank alcohol nor have I taken illicit drugs, so I haven't expierenced what you have in the alcohol catagory, but I've suffered through a divorce and a lot of family and friends deserting me in a time of great need for comforting! Yet for me, God knew what I needed and that was to depend entirely on Him, which I learned to do by seeking Him with my whole heart, mind soul and spirit! Was it sad and hurtful, oh yes, but Praise God and T^hank You, Jesus, for waking me up and getting me to where I am now in You wonderful, comforting and peaceful love! It takes time but you will make it with Jesus, and I have no doubt about that nor does He! Amen! God Bless! Betty

My guess is that you are. When we are doing GODS work the attacks become harsher and more frequent.

SO STEP UP YOUR ATTACKS AND PRAY ALWAYS AND IN EVERYTHING

Thanks, Betty. I've never been into the drug thing, but drink has been bad enough. The Christian Counselor meeting yesterday went good. We "got down to business", and alot of progress was made(I think).....Thanks again!

You will make it through the difficult times and trials that satan will try his best to get you back on his fallen path leading into the fire! God's pathway is the correct path to all happiness, so don't let anything get in the way of your making it into His heavenly realm to be in the presence of Jesus, forever! God Bless! Betty

Just now reading this but want you to know that you are in my prayers.
