Not only was epoxy redone but coil case is cracked too. a better explaination of coil and or pics would have been appreciated. I definately would not have bought this with the coil. CBailey

would have paid 350-400 for xlt setup with out bigfoot.
in fact i bought another xlt for 325 with 3 coils, though is older. Deals like this makes me want to give up doing trades and buying used. like I said i guess i bought a giant $250 dollar paper weight. Well thank your friend for me. Craig.

craig
sorry to hear your unhappy
the coil worked fine did you try the special settings in the xlt for the bigfoot?
the coil had been siliconed to keep it from getting moisture in it as the original epoxy was getting cracked from age

POST FROM THIS MORNING 3/11/2012

""quote"" ok now heres the deal from my perspective
first of all im real sorry that craigs unhappy
& will be glad to do a reasonable refund for the bigfoot coil

i told craig i was selling this for a friend & it was a nice package
the big foot coil was used & it had been repaired & i should have mentioned that it had been resiliconed
the cracks that hes seeing are the old calking.
the coil worked fine as everything was tested before listing

as far as the xlt the xlt that i sold craig was a 9 out of 10 cosmeticy & had only been used for approxmately 15 hours
the ugly pintpointer was new but had had a bunch of tape put on it to keep it from getting damaged my friend had thought
the bag was brand new .. & my/ friend dont smoke so this statement dont make sence ,/
""quote"" a detector bag that needs drycleaned smells like 10000000 burnt cigarettes.

one person comented that he had went back and looked at my post and it appears that the pictures he provided were over a year old based on the date (Dec 2010) in two of the pictures.
i had used my girlfriends camera to take the pix & she has no idea how to set the date on the camera so the date is wrong...
this unit was not listed 2 years ago on ebay
but was listed about 2 months ago
ive done many transactions on this site & craig could have called me & we could have talked in person as my phone # is in every selling post on this site & he had it in his emails , im not hiding
craig is more than welcome to give me a call 928-200-9446 & i will try to come up with a fair refund on the coil
""quote"" but walt refuses to believe anything wrong or that he is in the wrong
no i see your not happy & ive been trying for a couple of weeks to get in touch with my friend but hes out in the desert so ill have to take this out of my pocket
give me a call craig or a number for you & ill be glad to call you on my dime & we can work something out
walt

Coil was obviously damaged before being sent unless Walt had a bunch of invisible razor blades in his box. It's always someone else's fault Walt.

From a complete newbie : as I see it from the posts that not only has Walt manned up and admitted he made a mistake he also stated several times that he was willing to make it right if Craig would get in touch with him via normal channels i.e.(by phone). Craig looks to be a vindictive complainer that has not followed the rules of selling. The usps remark is not a remark to screw the usps by Walt but the proper protocol of selling that if the product is insured its insured for the following reason that everyone knows that our wonderful postal service has the habit of just throwing things around in shipping and if it is damaged in shipping than pictures are usually exchanged between the parties and if it looks like damage was done in shipping than ;postal is sent pictures of damage and the insurance is paid as it should be. That does not mean that Walt wanted to screw the postal sevice of any money because believe me when a insurance claim is put into the postal service thay know if it is a scam or not. The bottom line is as I see it that this Craig person just wants to be vindictive and Walt has tried to be fair and try to come up with a reasonable end to this problem. Nowhere in any of the posts have I seen that Walt has absolutely refused to make this right. What I have seen is that this Craig person has bad mouthed Walt and Walt has repeatedly said that he made a mistake and to contact him via phone and this Craig person is just getting off on posting and posting nothing but trash about the whole thing.

craig u are wrong about walt heis a very decent man, he would never try to screw any one over, why dont you just pick up thee phone and work it out instead of bad mouthing walt thats not going to solve anything at all. it sounds like you are a complainer and no one can make you happy.
