Hi all im off on holiday soon to the algarve and wondered if they have any special laws about detecting?and also the best settings to use on my GTI 1500 while on beaches.thankyou in advance

Based on my limited experience, I would recommend all-metal mode, and sweep just above the high-tide line. If you want to sweep between the high/low tide lines, I would use coin mode (B).
