Beach hunter , swapping M6 for sov elite , am I doing right thing

Hi I recently got an opportunity to trade my whites M6 in for a minelab sovereign elite, I love my M6 as it is in mint condition and only 3 years old, it pinpoints like a dream, either crossing method or using the vco which is pretty good too.

I only hunt beaches, the minelab looks like it pinpoints well in the middle of the coil, and the multi freq is supposed to make it the King of the beach.

The disc and notch features look good, the box looks susceptible to sand and moisture damage, makes me nervous as to if I am doing the right thing when my whites is immaculate and pretty well sealed, plus I have covers on it,.

What are your views

Smart move use the M6 for the dry sand and pick up a water proof pi or multi freqency for wet and surf.

The M6 is my second favorite detector for dry beach sand hunting.
It is not shabby as a park coin hunter either.

I would rate it as good as the new MX Sport in depth and sensitivity.
A bit less than that for the discriminator.

IMHO its a keeper ... Buy another new or used detector if you must but keep it to let others use when they want to go hunting with you.
