Beach hunting

I bought a pioneer 202 detector at an auction, My question is will this be a good detector to use on salt water beaches in Florida? Is there a certain way it has to be set to hunt a salt water beach? Thanks for any help. Russ.

[size=medium]The lower end BH machines (TR IV,202, 505) are not very good near salt water...You need a machine you can manually ground balance...You can use these machines on a beach, and in fact some members here do so on a regular basis, and find enough to support themselves off of...It takes much experience and know how to use these machines on the beach...If your serious about beach hunting and intend to do a lot of it, I would suggest a Pulse Induction type machine...
