Beach Scoop ( Old Post )

I have lost the post where someone had added some Floatation ( Noodle ) to their scoop when out in the water. I would like to see a photo if available. I wouldn't like to put too much on mine out in the surf. Thanks--Goldnugget-Charlotte,N.C. my scoop weights about4 to 5 lbs and this will be the first time farther out in the water beyond knee deep.
Also need information- I was in the surf after a rip tide and all I felt was a hard bottom and no sand, is it possible to find something in this condition.

Here's a shot of mine that I just did today..
I bought the Noodle at the Dollar Store... Guess how much? that's right $1.00

I used zip ties to secure it... I've heard off people using Black electrical tape. I figured that this may be better.. Just make sure if you use
zip ties to properly trim the pieces so that they won't scratch ya..

this is mine..just take the rubber bike grip off and poke the entire handle full of pipe insulation foam from low's ,put grip back on and good to go!

Hmmm I wonder which would be more buoyant... I like the idea of filling the tube with foam. But how'd ya get it all he way
to the bottom..

I was thinking of using the inside part as a storage.. For the High Dollar finds.. LOL I'm sure it would be a great spot Who would look there..

You could use that self sealing foam in a can...:) Just remember to wear gloves...it will stick to your skin....dont ask
