Yep, that's what I looked like today. I put my on brand new, ebay bought , farmer john 3mm wet suit and got in my pool. I wanted to try out the Hookah I purchased a couple weeks back and fiddle with the excal. You know, check all the things that need to be checked out.

A question comes to mind that I'm sure some of you guys and gals here have the answer to. Is there a way to figure how much weight I need on the weight belt to be neutral buoyant? Or if you can provide a link to a dive site with that info I will be your new best friend.

Oh, the suit and the Hookah both worked like a charm! Thanks, you guys are the best

Calculations are in my dive book, which I can not get to currently, try below (in a control environment like your pool) Remember salt water requires more weight.

Jump in the water in full equipment and exhale with a nearly empty bcd.

if you sink slowly, you have sufficient weight, if you sink like a rock, you have too much. If you don't sink, you need some more.

This is called a buoyancy check, and there is no formula or rule of thumb that can substitute for it..
